Today we had a more mellow day at the station with 5.0 sails being the perfect size.

This was actually a relief for some as it is easier to learn new things when the wind is not trying to blow you to Rhodes!!

Anyway we had a nice day, with lots of sun and wind.

August is moving by very fast and it is indeed the time to book a holiday if you are still craving some wind and sun this year.

If people have been looking at our wind recent forecasts and wondering what is going on over here, the honest answer is for about 3 weeks now it has just not stopped blowing.

It is windy in the morning, during the day and in the evening!!

Guests are having a great time and enjoying themselves immensely, with the most used sail size being 4.0 or smaller, everyone goes home with a smile on their face!!

Its busy here, we have a full board of customers and everyone wants small boards. Its a great atmosphere here at the centre with lots of guests constantly improving, people haveing lots of lessons from us and generally enjoying themselves!!

The forecast for wind looks good with 5.0 and 5.4 weather for the rest of this week!! So all those guys looking to come out we can't wait to see you on the water!!

We have finally got the Jet ski back.

This fantastic piece of kit is a new addition for 2008 and is to help us with high wind rescues. This means that if it is ridiculously windy and we can't even launch the boat, all you guys can still go surfing in the safe knowledge that we can save you when you need saving!!

On other news it is another windy day here in Kuremenous with lots of small sails being used, 3.5 and 3.3 were popular at the start of today.

So we had a lighter couple of days here at the Freak station but now the wind is back full power.

This is a short post just to keep everyone up to date!!

The Freaks are having a great time at the station, with loads of new guests everyday we are getting busier and busier. We have had wind everyday for the last few weeks, and there is no way that it is stopping!! To top it off we are also having a heat wave in Crete with it forecast to be and have been upwards of 33 degrees celsius.



There is now teaching for everyone with a new arrival from France. Piere has joined the team and we now have a full team of staff to look after your every need. French, German, English, Dutch, you name it we probably have someone that speaks it on team.



Lots of excitement on the water with the standard of surfing at a new all time high, clew-first spocks, spock 540, puneatas, chaccoos, flakas, ponches, the list is endless and even if you don't know what half of those are its worth coming to palekastro to see!!



We can't wait to see you in the coming months.

At 9:30 this morning we arrived to open the centre and found that it was too windy for windsurfing!!!

Standing on the beach is like being in a sand storm with 1m high waves in the middle of the surf area.

So we have closed the station and are waiting for the wind to calm down, there are still some people surfing but these are the hardcore locals or holiday makers who aren't put off by the 9 beaufort winds!!





We have had new team arrive as well, Rik and Mattias will be helping out all summer and have brought some youth to our team!!
